QOTD: What Do You Want to Know About the 2025 Mazda CX-70?

Our regular programming will be a bit different over the next day or two, as I am in California to drive the 2025 Mazda CX-70 and the schedule doesn't leave me a lot of laptop time.

I will be chatting with Mazda folks representing different parts of the company, however, and I figure I can pass some (legitimate, non-trolling) questions on to them.

As a reminder, the CX-70 is essentially a CX-90 sans one seating row and with very minor styling differences.

I will be heading out to drive it soon -- and I have at least one interview lined up. So fire away with your questions and I will ask them on your behalf.

Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

So if I fold down the rear seats in a CX 90 does that make it a CX 70. Asking for tax purposes

I like the bigger size and hefty weight of the CX90 and I almost never use even the backseat. The average family is less than 4 people.

The vehicle crash safety couldn't be better. The only complaints are the clumsy clutch transmission and the turbocharger.

are there any suspension tuning differences between the CX-70 and CX-90? I assume the weight difference is pretty minor (under 100lbs, I think), but I'm curious if the vehicle itself will drive any differently.
