Cadillac's Accessories Website Hints at Upcoming Lyriq-V
The Lyriq is just reaching owners’ driveways, but we’re already hearing rumors that Cadillac is brewing a hotter Lyriq-V. Cadillac Society reported that the automaker is overhauling the Lyriq trim structure for 2024 and found that the automaker’s accessories website contains parts for a Lyriq-V.
Cadillac Society found four trim levels for the 2024 Lyriq, including Tech, Luxury, and Sport. We already knew about those, but the fourth, labeled “V,” is news. Company executives have been cagey when asked about a performance-oriented Lyriq, but one executive hinted at the release by mentioning the brand’s history of building sporty versions of its cars and SUVs. The automaker is kicking off a year-long 20th-anniversary celebration of all things “V” this month, so the timing is right for an electrified Lyriq-V.
The standard Lyriq is no slouch, with some variants offering up to 500 horsepower. Of course, adding a V badge means Cadillac will have to go way above and beyond that, so we could see a performance EV with 700 horsepower or more. The automaker’s most recent “V” model, the Escalade V, puts down 682 horsepower and 653 pounds of torque from a supercharged V8, but the Lyriq would benefit from smaller, lighter electric motors that generate massive torque off the line.

FreedMike--The 300k Cadillac will not be a great success but at that price point I wouldn't expect it to be. More to get attention to say Cadillac can build it but does it really matter.
GM will never sell more than 5000 Lyriqs annually. We all know this is to be true. I feel sorry for the Cadillac dealerships, which wasted money on EV technology few are going to use.
I predict the Lyric will be a crushing success. After the initial buyers get a hold of one, they'll end up being made into cubes to make them attractive and sold for scrap.
I predict the Lyric will be unpredented EV success surpassing the likes of @Tesla and @Ford Mustang Mach E.
