Cadillac Lyriq Recalled For Too Much ABS
General Motors is recalling 21,469 electric SUVs in the U.S. due to concerns about the unexpected activation of the anti-lock brake system, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Tuesday.

In these conditions, if ABS falsely activates and a specific sequence of wheel movements occurs, the vehicle’s ABS system will continue to release the braking pressure in the vehicle’s service brake system, reducing stopping power which could result in a crash.
The issue, which will be addressed through an over-the-air software update, follows a preliminary evaluation by the NHTSA in April into more than 3,000 Cadillac Lyriq vehicles over claims related to a loss of brake assist.
