Edsel Ford II, great-grandson of Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford, was arrested after an altercation at his Grosse Pointe Farms home last night, but no charges came out of this morning’s arraignment.

According to reports from the arraignment by the Detroit Free Press, police were called to the home by Ford’s wife, Cynthia Layne Neskow. The 67-year-old Ford, son of Henry Ford II and cousin of company chairman William Clay Ford, Jr, spent the night in jail awaiting a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Those charges were denied by the Grosse Pointe Farms city attorney due to lack of evidence, and Ford was released this morning at 11:45 a.m. The company that bears his family’s name released a statement saying it was aware of the incident, but wouldn’t comment on a “personal matters.”

In a statement reported by Freep, Police Chief Daniel Jensen said Ford’s wife didn’t want to press charges. The incident that led to yesterday’s 11:30 p.m. arrest was a “very minor” physical assault, he said, and responding officers found evidence of a minor altercation, though Ford’s wife didn’t sustain any injuries.

“There was no felonious assault,” said Jensen. “There was contact made, which is what brings us into arrest mode.”

In this case, the assault involved hands being placed on a person. There were no witnesses to the altercation, making it a he said-she said situation. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

Police said Ford took the phone away from his wife during her call, but he handed it back.

Ford briefly ran Ford of Australia from 1978 to 1980, and is a member of Ford Motor Company’s board of directors. He is also the Director Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan and owns (and chairs) Pentastar Aviation, LLC, an aviation services company. Ford and Neskow have four grown children, two of which work for Ford.

http://www.inquisitr.com/3276531/christie-brinkley-turns-hose-on-woman-who-pees-in-her-yard-and-defends-her-actions-on-facebook/ The woman peeing in Brinkley's yard while hurling obscenities and objects at her is now considering filing harassment charges at the property owner following the responding police not making an arrest in a conflict between two women. Any male parties in this conflict and someone's going to jail for the night, and it wouldn't be the woman whether she was the indecently exposed trespassing vandal throwing things or the property owner with the hose. I've seen what happens when the police witness a woman assaulting a man who called them. They took her away only to take her home so she could steal his money to pay her bail. Then they did their best to make sure the case never came before a judge. Somehow, he never got his bail back just for insult to injury(ies). The SJWs here are in for a rude surprise if their balls ever drop.

@JimZ Your INCEL status has you confused. Most SJW women look just like you. People like me know legal inequality is dangerous because we've had women in our lives and beds who taught us the danger. It's real easy to sit back with your fantasies and argue that women are all sweetness and light. I've been awakened by the rescue squad, called by my girlfriend who claimed she couldn't wake me up before leaving for a smoke. They threw me against the wall while they looked for the missing woman who made the call, even though there was no allegation of violence or abuse, just that I was passed out and she couldn't revive me with a sternum massage. She somehow missed them as they took the elevator and she took the stairs or vice-versa, turning me from a potential patient to a potential perpetrator. Did I forget to mention it was on my birthday? I remember when the internet made it so all sorts of people who couldn't get laid suddenly could. Now, it has taken the internet to teach me that there are once again people who've taken themselves out of the game.

Will the judge sentence him to drive a early model Pinto? Or a 60's-70's era Ford with a C4 or C6 that inadvertently shifts out of park?

  • Theflyersfan Matthew...read my mind. Those old Probe digital gauges were the best 80s digital gauges out there! (Maybe the first C4 Corvettes would match it...and then the strange Subaru XT ones - OK, the 80s had some interesting digital clusters!) I understand the "why simulate real gauges instead of installing real ones?" argument and it makes sense. On the other hand, with the total onslaught of driver's aid and information now, these screens make sense as all of that info isn't crammed into a small digital cluster between the speedo and tach. If only automakers found a way to get over the fallen over Monolith stuck on the dash design motif. Ultra low effort there guys. And I would have loved to have seen a retro-Mustang, especially Fox body, have an engine that could rev out to 8,000 rpms! You'd likely be picking out metal fragments from pretty much everywhere all weekend long.
  • Analoggrotto What the hell kind of news is this?
  • MaintenanceCosts Also reminiscent of the S197 cluster.I'd rather have some original new designs than retro ones, though.
  • Fahrvergnugen That is SO lame. Now if they were willing to split the upmarketing price, different story.
  • Oberkanone 1973 - 1979 F series instrument type display would be interesting. https://www.holley.com/products/gauges_and_gauge_accessories/gauge_sets/parts/FT73B?utm_term=&utm_campaign=Google+Shopping+-+Classic+Instruments+-+Non-Brand&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&hsa_acc=7848552874&hsa_cam=17860023743&hsa_grp=140304643838&hsa_ad=612697866608&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=pla-1885377986567&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrIixBhBbEiwACEqDJVB75pIQvC2MPO6ZdubtnK7CULlmdlj4TjJaDljTCSi-g-lgRZm_FBoCrjEQAvD_BwE
