Following the GT3s from Porsche and Mercedes-AMG, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is the next one to bow at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show.

Each of the 100 Vantage GT3s lost 220 lbs over the standard Vantage S, thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber on items such as the front wings, roof and hood. Polycarbonate rear windows and a lithium-ion battery further contribute to the weight savings.

Power for the Vantage GT3 comes via a 6-liter V12 pushing 600 horsepower to the rear Michelin Super Sports.

I like it, but only sort of. All the little bright colored details and trims are against the grain of Aston Martin; they're always supposed to display taste and restraint, even if it's a go-faster version of something. The front is very fish-like and it's putting me off the most. With a chin spoiler that low, this really isn't usable on the road anyway.

I'm not a fan of tail spoilers and big chin diffusers. Looks like add on snot nosed teen-aged tuner cars.

  • Master Baiter "That said, the Inflation Reduction Act apparently does run afoul of WTO rules..."Pfft. The Biden administration doesn't care about rules. The Supreme Court said they couldn't forgive student load debt; they did it anyway. Decorum and tradition says you don't prosecute former presidents; they are doing it anyway. They made the CDC suspend evictions though they had no constitutional authority to do so.
  • 1995 SC Good. To misquote Sheryl Crow "If it makes them unhappy, it can't be that bad"
  • 1995 SC The letters on the hatch aren't big enough. hard pass
  • Ajla Those letters look like they are from AutoZone.
