This is 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty in all of its glory, with the F-350 and F-450 Super Dutys to look like this when they hit the lot, as well.
According to Jalopnik subsidiary Truck Yeah, an anonymous source dropped off the photo with no information about the truck, particularly what’s under the hood. Speculation, however, points to a revised 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel and 6.2-liter gas-powered V8 as likely powertrain possibilities.
The only detail set in stone about the heavier-duty pickups thus far is that, like the F-150, aluminum will be used throughout the body.

The cab structure looks exactly the same as the '15 F-150, so after the 17 year experiment of have a different cab they are going back to sharing. Ford has made many changes to the platform over the years, but under the skin its really the same stuff. Hood looks a little taller, but that would be needed to cram the Powerstroke in it. Wonder if it can be serviced without pulling the cab?
I don't know why Ford is bothering with this model. Just import the global Ranger with Oz-spec frame, as we've been reminded so often. Maybe shove the 3.2 5 cylinder diesel in it just for luck and 40,000 lb tow rating. Not just any diesel engine, mind. The Australian version.
My god, that front end is just...incomprehensible.
I'll have to see this thing in the wild before i decide on the looks of that snout.
