The affliction for pink cars knows no bounds, and TTAC’s word-wide correspondents hunt them down. Here is a small selection of pinkies that arrived in our pink mailbox at shootthepink@gmail.com. North Bay, Ontario, is populated by people with eclectic tastes – for pink Hondas.

Here is another one, sent in by Andre.

Long time Shoot the Pink contributor Gimmeamanual bagged this pink Caddy outside the Novotel in Pudong, Shanghai.

All the way from Panama comes this pink Ecosport, bagged by Edsantos. According to Ed, pink was the “theme color” for Ford’s importer.

Says Ed: “The company that represented Ford in Panama is now competing with another Ford seller. This is why American cars don’t sell here.” Maybe the choice of theme colors has something to do with it also.

A friend interviewed for an IT job at the corporate headquarters of Mary Kay in Addison, TX. We continually teased him about having to drive a pink car if he took that job. Mary Kay Ash and the pink Cadillac http://www.the33tv.com/news/kdaf-pink-cadillac-story,0,620960.story

  "Mary Kay Pink" (though it changes from year to year) is indeed a factory color from GM, though lately they've been awarding Lincolns as well. I just had an odd thought - a two tone car in Mary Kay Pink and Bianchi Green (which also is not a uniform color).

  @Ronnie Schreiber The 80s canary yellow and Mary Kay cars are somewhat popular with the spinning rims crowd in Western PA, although both are rarities.

Mister It wasn't helped any by the horrible fuel economy for what it was... something like 22mpg city, iirc.
Lorenzo I shop for all-season tires that have good wet and dry pavement grip and use them year-round. Nothing works on black ice, and I stopped driving in snow long ago - I'll wait until the streets and highways are plowed, when all-seasons are good enough. After all, I don't live in Canada or deep in the snow zone.
FormerFF I’m in Atlanta. The summers go on in April and come off in October. I have a Cayman that stays on summer tires year round and gets driven on winter days when the temperature gets above 45 F and it’s dry, which is usually at least once a week.
