Mercedes E-Class Lengthened

If you have been to India, you will certainly know that big is often considered better. When it comes to cars, the same philosophy holds true. That’s the reason why the Renault Duster took the market by storm when it was launched last month. After China, the Indian car market is said to have the most potential. Naturally car makers are rushing to India, launching all they could to satisfy the growing need of personal transport. But what happens if you want something more than whats on offer?

Enter the E-Class Limousine. No, this is no official E-Class limo, but an after market job. The owner wanted more space and got the car lengthened by around four feet. The 6-seater E-Class has a 3.0L, V6 diesel engine. No other changes have been made except the increase in length and addition of more creature comforts for rear seat occupants. Given the state of Indian roads, maneuvering such a vehicle in traffic is truly a challenge.

This particular aftermarket job on the E-Class cost the owner around $40,000. The owner could definitely opt for the S-Class if he wanted the best in comfort from the Mercedes stable. I think it looks out of proportion.

  • SCE to AUX I've never been teased by a bumper like that one before.
  • 3SpeedAutomatic R&T could have killed the story before it was released. Now, by pulling it after the fact, they look like idiots!! What's new??
  • Master Baiter "That said, the Inflation Reduction Act apparently does run afoul of WTO rules..."Pfft. The Biden administration doesn't care about rules. The Supreme Court said they couldn't forgive student load debt; they did it anyway. Decorum and tradition says you don't prosecute former presidents; they are doing it anyway. They made the CDC suspend evictions though they had no constitutional authority to do so.
