If you are lusting for extra oomph, and if all you have to transport is that sadly childless trophy female of yours, then Ferrari has good news from you. The Italians will show a successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano two-seat coupe at the Geneva auto show next month.

According to Automotive News Europe, the new coupe will be lighter than its predecessor, but will have 80 horses more. The 6.3-liter direct-injection V-12 engine is expected to deliver 700 hp. The horses will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Also slightly more will be the price. The so far unnamed car will cost a little bit above the 260,000 euros, ($341,000) the current 599 GTB Fiorano F1 costs in Italy. European deliveries are scheduled for June, the car is expected at U.S. shores by year end.

Auto Express already has a spy short. Above.

I love the rusty looking unfinished exhausts. I guess that's the nature of a test mule, even from Ferrari.

    Can it jump a shark?

So... what'll it be called? You have the 612 above, the 599 before it... calling it the 600 might seem like a step backwards. Just waith till they replace the 458 with the 500...

But will it best other Ferraris? Maybe. I hear that it will go from zero to inferno in under four seconds.
