    Probably a stupid question, but wasn't the Mk II Jetta only introduced around 1984 or 1985? So it's not yet 30 years old. I think this is the second recent TTAC article smacking the Chinese for tarting up a 30 year old car. But 27 year olds are allowed, nee expected, to change their outfit. I had an 84 Mk I that I bought new. Fun, honest car.

    That's a surprisingly nice design. I personally don't mind a car with old underpinnings if it has withstood the test of time. But a Mark II Jetta? Eh.
