Curbside Classic Clue

Here we are again, ready to use those certain special brain cell synapses that were created by spending way too much time looking at cars when we shouldn’t have been. Finally a way to make use of them. I’m happy to announce that Stingray, one of our most loyal TTAC family members won the Sunbird Clue. Felicitaciones! Or did I get that wrong?

Hey Sting-- Babelfish is definitely fallible. the word you're looking for here is Seguramente.

The color is very close to a BMW color from the 1960's - 1970's. But that little notchy thing really throws me.

The body curvature evokes 1950s or early 60s. What baffles me is that the chrome pulls away from the sheetmetal toward the bottom. The front-fender air vents on a 1950 Nash Rambler? (That's a real reach given the reflection of the other car in the chrome, but otherwise I got 'nothing.)

Like Dr Lemming said, that chrome thing that goes around the corner and dissapears looks wrong. I want it to be an Imperial, maybe a 61, but I can't imagine that showing up on ther streets as a curbside classic. So I'm guessing it's some sort of wildly overstyled fender mounted side mirror, from an Edsel maybe?
