Surely there was another brand that GM recently cut while saying it would support its former customers… was it LaSalle? Geo? Wait, no, it started with a “P”… was it Passport?

"was it Passport?" Uh, I did not know that Opel Kadett clone. The Opel Kadett was a decent car. Why in heaven did not they market it as an Opel?. What´s the point in naming the Opel company in the ads but not in the badge on the car?. I wonder if the marketing executives at GM were in fact Toyota double agents.

"The Opel Kadett was a decent car. Why in heaven did not they market it as an Opel?. What´s the point in naming the Opel company in the ads but not in the badge on the car?." Cause they were GM and they could. Their heart wasn't in it if it wasn't roughly large enough to have it's own zip code. My uncle had a Yellow Opel sold by Buick dealers in the 1970s. I think of that car every time I hear the song "Old Yellow Car." "Somewhere in a pile of rubber and steel there's a rusted old shell of an automobile, and if engines could be bought on desire alone, that old yellow car would be driving me home..."

Well, I usually drive OUT of the exit, so don't get to read the usual slogans hung over the door. Are Saturn owners supposed to sneak in the back way for service? As for Pontiac.......... who?
