I see the economic crisis has even reached Wayne Enterprises.
At first blush this looked like a Photoshop put-on or possibly a 4H Project gone terribly awry.
On closer inspection there really is a KurtSystems that make these contraptions to train racehorses and camels. (Camels?)
Anyway, there is a whole world out there I didn’t know existed. Once again, TTAC, a heartfelt thank you for broadening my narrow horizens.

I read somewhere that 1 hp is actually equivalent to one-and-a-half horses…anyone care to confirm or deny? (ew…half a horse)

Stupid, stupid money. I worked with horses for years, and let me tell you, this is tame.
Check out the transport semi’s sometime, some of them cost significantly more than a top of the line RV. Hundreds of thousands of dollars.
IIRC this was developed and is built by Prodrive (the owners of Aston Martin).
As for horsepower, it’s more like 1 horse generating 7hp at peak performance, over a short period of time. I could be wrong – long time ago since I was reading about it.
