Daily Podcast: Lieberman and Berk Bicker About Lamborghini Sedan

daily podcast lieberman and berk bicker about lamborghini sedan

In today’s podcast, Lieberman and I discuss the “stars so far” of the Paris Auto Show. Neither of us is there, because the Gulfstream is in for repairs, but we are following along with pictures from our friends sweating it out in Paris. Because what you might not know is that covering an auto show – especially for a blog – is not exactly party time. You attend endless press conferences and hear the same buzzwords hundreds of times. Green, groundbreaking, segment busting, “build on that success” and so on. Press rooms are tiny. And in Paris, they have air conditioning issues (none to speak of) and everybody has to wear a suit. At least there’s a new Lamborghini. Only I don’t like it much. Lieberman does. Nerd.

Hi guys, I kind of agree with the both of you on the Estoque, as good as it looks for a four door lamborghini, it doenst really fit in the lamboghini realm (want to take your kids, dont buy a Lamb). they had the Espada before, and when i met with Lamborghini execs some time back, they guaranteed that Lamborghini will not fall for the bait and re-produce something as horrid as the Espada was. they categorically specified that lamborghini will carry on with the two model invetory, plus special editions, superleggera's, and limited runs like the Reventon. and they were appahled when some of the people present asked if they will follow porsche into the SUV gig with an LM003-4 or whatever (perhaps called the Matador). Never!! was the answer. so i wonder what went through their mind since march 08. my opinon is that (MAMA) Audi is showcasing the Lambo Estoque to maximise exposure on the new A8 Chassis and it sporting attitude. they might not produce it just yet. but i rekon now that they have showed it, the demand will be too great for them to not produce it. so in short, expect an Audi S8 way before the Estoque.

@240d: The Ferrari 400?! MY POOR EYES! I do like the 612 Scagletti, though the rest of the world seems to agree it looks awful.

@Justin Berkowitz i second your argument: fuck yeah a 4-door mid-engine sedan! now that would be awesome

@Justin Berkowitz: I know, I know, but it would be such a sleeper when the valet brought it up to the front of "da club". Then again, I'd be driving a Ferrari 400, what would I be doing at a club? ;-) I'll step deeper in it - what sort of deal can I get on an Aston Martin Lagonda! That bad boy would kick those dime-a-dozen nouveau Bentley's to the curb (where my Staines spaceship would no doubt be parked with some electrical malfunct). Wonder if any of this desire comes from my first car being a '79 Scirocco?
