A few weeks ago, we concluded Abandoned History’s two-part coverage of the Chrysler UltraDrive transmission. Within the comments was a request for more transmission coverage of an equally abandoned nature. Let it be so! Come along as we discuss the vast automatically shifted expanse that was the Turbo-Hydramatic transmission family, by General Motors.

Rare Rides: The 1996 AM General Hummer, Don't Call It H1

As I was considering some serious topics yesterday, namely the Jaguar XK8 as a used car buy and the new GMC Hummer EV, I came to the realization we’d never touched on any Hummer vehicles in the Rare Rides series.

It’s an oversight which is rectified today!

Loser I love these MN12 vehicles. We had a 92 Cougar, my dad had an 89, mom and brother both had T-birds. Wife and I still talk about that car and wish they still made cars like these. It was a very good car for us, 130,000 miles of trouble free and comfortable driving. Sold it to a guy that totaled it a month after purchase. Almost bought a 97 T-bird the 4.6 when I found out it was the last of them but the Cougar was paid for and hard to justify starting payments all over.
