I always found it interesting that Acura is a failure in Japan. Why would you want to kill Acura in the US though? They’re a hot seller over here by far, I see TL’s and TSX’s plus their earlier brethren all over the place, I can’t see how Acura is a bad brand here.

It’s about time Honda kills Acura in the US.

I would give the Japanese union workers a 5% accross the board pay increase in exchange to for the right to fire or lay-off any union worker with just two weeks severance, and in exchange for no union controls on job titles or the production process.

Exchanging pay for job security sounds like the kind of stupid thing an American automaker would work out with the UAW (i.e. Jobs Bank).

euro currency strength to GM- only helps stateside if the profits are sent home and cashed out in USD. Otherwise its mere paper profits, which while would be nice, you cant spend them and they tend to simply reverse out on their own s time passes.
