The GMC version has slightly larger chrome door handles.
GMC is “professional grade” DUH! Professional costs more.
The messed up thing is that people who don’t read auto-industry blogs think that GMC and Chevy vehicles aren’t exactly the same beyond price and emblem.

Your correct in regards to some previous models but these 2 are much more different than just emblems.
This isn’t a case where GM is asking 1800 bucks for an emblem. Move along nothing to see here.
Supposedly the GMC has a nicer interior…whether it’s $1,800 nicer is a matter of debate.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the GMC version is offered with a cash rebate of, oh, say $1,500 or so more than the Chevy version, making the price difference a prime example of brand masturbation.
$1800 is amateur hour.
What was the price gap in today dollars on the J body between a Cavalier and a Cimarron?
I haven’t input the Terrain into TrueDelta’s pricing database yet, but based on other models I’ll venture that the GMC has at least $1,500 of additional standard content. Equip them the same and the price difference will be minimal.

The two don’t share any sheetmetal, so there’s a portion of the cost. There will also be standard equipment on the GMC that is optional on the Chevy.
