That’s a fine example of design by (multi-brand stealing) committee. Cruze, Avenger, Jetta, maybe some Civic, and who knows what’s out back? This car is a total clusterf**k if I’ve ever seen one.

No one sees the obvious fact that the child has it’s Volkswagen father’s maw and it’s Hyundai mother’s sculpted sides?
There’s a dash of Chevrolet Aveo in there, mixed with some Kizashi Concept, Audi, i also see the dodge cross hair grill. and the build quality of the Geely.
Geely cars come with an ingenious impact absorbing passenger cell which collapses upon impact protecting whatever it hits. It’s the latest in pedestrian friendly technology and a third party insurance’s best friend, as the damage inflicted on the third party is minimal. but this safety feature comes at quite a premium;…. LIFE….
Man, I hate china.
Just because they have enough chinese ants, err… people to buy their products and cheap labor to make them, their god-awful car companies grew to become some of the strongest in the industry. Unfair!
These companies turned a profit just because they abuse young children, by forcing them to work in sweatshops to produce parts, under meager conditions and virtually no pay.
With the quality, reliability and safety these car companies deliver, god help us all if they absorb the european ones (they already absorbed Volvo, by the way).
European companies will be unable to compete for the reason they actually pay their employees, give them help care and pension and don’t treat them like ants, like the Chinese companies do. Along with the higher quality, it’s natural the price of european or japanese cars to be a liitle bit higher. Buy European and Japanese instead the cheap communist chinese stuff, while you still have a choice.
Don’t believe me? Look what happened to the laptops! Nowadays even Sony, Asus and Dell laptops are made in china (after a decade of unfair competition from china in the market) and nowadays you can’t buy a decent laptop with a battery that won’t explode, like the good old pre-china times. Expect the same to happen in the car industry, if we don’t avoid the “made in china” label.
I hate Chinese crap products, too.
And the car in the picture looks godawful.
But admit it, many people who post here would buy it in an instant if the nameplate said “PriusII”.
I’ve got a Chinese-made laptop, and it works just fine. Much better, in fact, than my American-made car…
