All right– enough with the nay-saying and snarking at GM Car Czar Maximum Bob Lutz. He promised a Volt by 2010 and by George, Chevy's made good on that promise! You, yes you can now buy your very own Chevy Volt! Unfortunately (or fortunately for you!), they're only building 7,500 in this production run. So if you want your very own zero emissions automobile, you need to get your order in right now! Yes, it's a little cramped. Sure, luggage space is limited. But you can park it almost anywhere. And the best part? Its affordable! Be the first on your block to own the new "gas free" Chevrolet Volt! (Batteries not included.)

Collector’s items of the “now you see it, now it’s gone” variety.
This will look so cool parked between my Bricklin and my rotary Monza.
I'd like to point out that this is the Volt's "old" sheetmetal. GM has already announced that the show car sexy design didn't make it past the wind tunnel boyz.
So this really COULD be a genuine collector's piece, in the same sense as an upside down postage stamp. Of course, you can USE an upside down postage stamp. You know, if you wanted to.
I’d buy one right now if it was 1:18th scale. Would look real nice next to my Ertl Chevy Vega. :)
I already have a whole stable of zero emissions cars, including a Boxster, a Peugeot 404 wagon, a ‘59 Chevy, a late ’50s or early ’60s Bentley, a ‘64 Riviera, an Esso tank truck, and many more. The first two are recent acquisitions, the rest I got in their day.

There’s a $2 “conquest” rebate, if you already own a diecast replica imaginary car of another make.
Due to the complexity of the replica hybrid drive system, this particular model cost GM $19 each to make. They’re hoping to reduce cost and sell the Gen II Volt die cast model at a more modest loss.

Dream is right, because this turkey is not going to be on sale anytime soon. why do the posters cost more than the die cast car? Are the posters Union made in the USA?
I love it, whats next an RC car with the Volt body, battery powered Volt for kids, like the rest of the concepts that never see production. I prefer to do my own models, where’s the diecast or plastic model kit. If anyone has any unopened Pocher models I might seriously be interested the Volt not so much. I like starlightmica’s idea a hydrogen powered Volt.
