MoPar was in the same hall at last year's show, so them being there this year is in of itself not a damning development. I am in the trade show industry, so I know space selection and priority points apply to where you are. Budget is what sets the size of your space.

There is nothing wrong with promoting what a business has going for them.

Regarding showing off old and new Challengers, I would say that we all have cars that we wish we had bought that we didn't. If you wanted a Challenger back in the day but couldn't buy one such as the wife wouldn't allow it, or you just couldn't afford it, now you can! That is the message here.

The video link below is from the January 2008 Denver Car Show, where along with a 2008 you will see a 1970 Challenger and 1969 HEMI Daytona Charger. The Charger is still owned by the original owner (and I'll add that his wife was not thrilled when he first drove it home, and it was also a grocery getter for a time).

Someday I'm sure that I'll add a 2008 Challenger to my list of cars I wish I had bought back in the day... (sigh)

Interestingly, the car above is probably not a chop job. In Europe, magnums receive 300C front ends, as Dodge has no presence on the Euro market, and Europeans love wagons. Hence, the 300C wagon!

I agree, Chrysler gets to the promised land of dissolution first. However, aren't we talking about the old Mobilgas economy run here. Chrysler's entry will run out of gas first, then GM's finally Ford's about 1/4 mile farther down the road? In a feat of relative weakeness, there is just that, weakness. I see no strength in any of the othe two Detroit builders that gives them a reprieve for the long haul.
