brake covers are so ridiculous; clean wheels are not worth dying when you drive down a mountain road and your brakes overheat. Seriously.

Great review – a subject that hits home for this OCD pistonhead…the Z51 spec pads on my TBSS haul it down without issue or fade but dust like crazy…I wonder if I can live with the performance trade offs necessary to keep my wheels cleaner.

I don’t think Lexus needs any help with brake dust…my RX330 hardly ever shows brake dust on the front wheels thanks to the OEM ceramic pads.

does that bmw use plastic brake lines any where? replacing those with steel mesh lines might help,and a lot of auto crossers go with the hawk pads and sticky tires cause the tires actually do most the stopping.

Never cared if my wheels are dirty.
Never waxed any of my cars. Waxing wheels??
I guess some people have too much free time.

What I care of is stopping distance and brake fade.

How long until Lexus (or somebody) develops a compressed air system that automatically blows the dust away every time you turn off the car? It would make the car look better and they could charge an extra couple grand for it.

Brake dust shields are a bad idea. They interfere with good brake cooling.
