Nissan has unleashed a promotional video of its all new Z car – via YouTube. To the soundtrack of Nipponese techno we see inside and outside shots of the 370Z. Exposed to it, the hearts of true Z car zealots may beat a bit faster. “The video itself appears to be for Japanese markets,” says Luxvelocity. Is this a praise, or a cut? We are not sure. But if this is viral marketing, then the spread will remain relatively contained.

Do Japanese car makers often advertise left-hand drive cars for the home market? Seems a touch odd to me. If this is re-cut to 30 seconds, I’m sure it will make a fine commercial.

I really like the way that car looks.

Hmm, let’s see. Yup, ugly even on YouTube. Nissan’s run of great designs has finally ended.

If Rep. Waxman and the environmentalists kill the Mustang, Camaro and/or Corvette as a result of any bailout, then the 370Z is my next car. Even if they don’t kill the muscle cars, I may still get a 370Z…

I guess Dr Lemming just sees a letter. Others, however, see a car.
Yeah, that’s really annoying… I like the car, though.

The car mags that got their hands on a 370Z are reporting awesome performance. I think Motor Trend recorded a 4.7 second sprint to 60, a 13.3 second quarter mile, and 0.99 Lateral G’s. Road and Track recorded 5.1 seconds to 60, and Car and Driver got 4.9 seconds. A sub-5 second sprint to 60 is awesome, and the handling numbers are, too…
