But since Porsche can't put their 'real' flat six in the car, I guess this is the only alternative. Too bad. IMAGINE the press if this car had the 385HP 3.8!!! Or an $85,000 car with the 435HP GT3 engine. The chassis is plenty capable, and I suspect the weight difference is miniscule. Now that would be a story! Always liked the Boxster. A Spyder isn’t designed with the top ON in mind. It’s supposed to be driven open. The only reason why there is a top at all is in case the weather suddenly turns nasty…
