Malaysia is one racist nation which is still to grow out medieval Islamic practices.
What is troubling is that countries like this and China is rising into prominence thanks to their new found wealth.

Street racing with what? That's what I would like to know. I would love to see some videos of Japanese and Korean ricers going through those tiny streets and narrow passages.

BlueRat: Wheelies on scooters? Yes, it can be done on manual transmission scooters like the old Vespas... they had twistgrip 3-speed manual transmissions, and the kick from their 150-175cc two stroke singles was enough if you dumped the clutch just right.

Wow! Caning! What a novel idea to take Malaysia right forward into the 18th Century!
Pretty soon those non-Muslim Malays of Indian and Chinese descent will be demanding civil rights and revocation of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumiputra" title="Bumiputra!" rel="nofollow">Bumiputra</a>!

Wow, I learned a lot from this article.

I didn't know you could pull wheelies on scooters!

Then there's tank slap, Mat Rempits (which I can not pronounce), and Hoonery...

And apparently, when I time travel back to 1995, I should overtip taxi drivers in NYC.

yankinwaoz : My taxi driver? Scary! Doing 80mph, two inches off the bumper of the car ahead, in pouring rain. And a half empty bottle of vodka in the glovebox.

I'm saying: My NYC taxi driver during my 1995 visit? 80 mph LITERALLY through Soho and Manhattan. Yeah, I was unbelted and I was scared.

Later that night our taxi driver of unknown Arab descent jumped out of the taxi and chased two old folks who we shared the taxi with down the street with a large knife over 50 cents difference in the meter vs their normal fare. My buddy and I (not from big cities) just sat there dumbfounded. If it happened again I would have driven away at a high rate of speed with his taxi.

This is America???

"five-year prison sentence and three-year license suspension"</em>

Uh....
Good thing that they'll be prison bitches that can legally drive for 2 years. I guess...

Wow. From my time in Malaysia, I was amazed that there were not more accidents. The only accident I saw was on the freeway between KL and the airport where an army troop carrier had flipped over in a ditch.

My taxi driver? Scary! Doing 80mph, two inches off the bumper of the car ahead, in pouring rain. And a half empty bottle of vodka in the glovebox.

The moped drivers there are amazing... just like in the rest of South East Asia. How they manage to survive any commute is mind boggling.

Excellent!!!

Journalists take note: By giving these idiots who endanger other people's lives a CUTE little name such as "hoon" implies that it's just a harmless little...prankish bout of fun.

It isn't. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Ah well, that's just may be my Grandmother in that car, upside down dead.

You punks out there...you know who you are...grow the hell up.

Good for Malaysia. Heaven forbid the U.S. ever clamp down on this childish endangerment of human life.
