Actually, finding another oil pump was easy and free- had a couple of old engines in pieces in the shop. It was the distributor (which had the pin holding in the drive gear get sheared off when the pump seized) that required a trip to the junkyard.

heh heh, classic 302 failure. Add valve seals to the shooping list. One of them came loose and jammed the pump.
