Subject: Miltary, College and Credit Union Member Discount Program Change
Beginning Monday July 1, 2009, Saturn, Hummer and Saab vehicles will no longer be eligible for the GM Military, College, or Credit Union Member Discount programs.
Dealers will still be able to get approvals for any Saturn, Hummer or Saab vehicles delivered prior to July 1, 2009, but BARS will not pay on deliveries of these vehicles that occur after July 1, 2009.

Ooh, I know some people that are going to be rather upset by this news. And of all brands to not get a “Miltary” discount, Hummer is the one that just seems wrong.

The local Hummer dealer here in my area has been doing a lot of really brave sounding radio ads lately.
“Over 100 vehicles in stock!”
“We’ll be here to service your vehicle!
Well, they’re not GM anymore, but are they Chinese yet?
One would assume that a Hummer Dealership owner would be a whiskey-drinker anyhow, but man, those bourbon bills have to be through the roof right now.

Since “Monday July 1, 2009″ will never exist, does this mean that this will never go into effect?
