Maximum props to TTAC editor Jeff Puthuff for putting this document together. [ Click here for pdf] I thank Jeff and all the other TTAC editors and writers for their contributions to our coverage of the U.S. and international automobile industry during the last four years plus. And thanks to all the TTAC commentators who added their two cents to these and other posts, keeping us honest, testing the strength of our intellect. No matter how this auto industry shake-out shakes out, rest assured that TTAC will continue to follow the story with the same no-holds-barred dedication to telling the truth about cars, and those who make them.

I actually think that Ford has a great opportunity to expand its dealer network by bringing in the best of the discontinued Chrysler and GM dealers. I laid out my reasoning in a blog post I added to Ford, Star Trek, and Domus. The potentially added downward price pressure caused by increasing the number of dealers would be greatly offset by the stated benefits.

Hey Robert, Congrats to you to make the call to start this series four plus years ago and for having the fortitude to stick to it through all the ups and downs. You called it four years ago and the majority of the automotive press still didn't have it right as recently as 3 months ago. Much thanks for all of the good work. Ever think about publishing this series as a book?

I heard that Cisco is going to replace GM on the Dow Jones index. I thought it would be Google, but I was kinda right on the replacement being a tech stock.

Farago, is this entry an acceptance speech in the closet? Congradtulations Man, I hope Obama mentions ttac here in a few when he gets on air, and the prez task force gives you a chia pet Obama head trophy as the winner of the Obama (like the oscars) as the guy that 'really called it, before it was painfully obvious'.
