One book I’ve heard good things about is, “How To Get Happily Published”, by Judith Appelbaum.

Be careful though, in “On Writing”, Stephen King says, ~”There are some people in publishing so greedy, they’d steal the pennies off a dead man’s eyes.”

His book is about his experiences as a test engineer for first Mercedes, then Audi, from the 50’s to the 90’s. Very interesting, German language. I doubt it is available in English, I piked mine up at the Audi Museum bookstore about 5 or 6 years ago. Facscinating reading, I couldn’t put it down. I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually knew him…

I don’t know any publishers, but have read blogs of a number of people who’ve gotten published by non-traditional means…

You could try contacting Steve H Graham at Tools of Renewal blog who has a couple of books – Eat What You Want and Die Like A Man, and The Good, The Spam And The Ugly. The former is billed as the world’s unhealthiest cookbook, in the loosest sense; the latter is sweet payback to the Nigerians. Whoever published those might find your accounts equally attractive.

PS – I think your tales are hilarious. What kinda German are you, anyway? Aren’t you supposed to be dour and phlegmatic? You sure got that wrong.

Now when’s the book? I want to order it now!!

I would pay the full list price for a DVD of Herr Schmitt’s life story. I think Colin Farrell could pull it off.
