I’ve never quite understood driving a 911 on the street. I think a 911 without sponsor decals over it and not door banging with Ferraris and BMWs is strange indeed.

Extraordinary.

Really striking updates: center-lock hubs, twice as much aero downforce as the last iteration, the ability to absolutely, completely de-activate Traction Control and Stability Control even under the most extreme conditions (i.e., it will not turn on to save you even if you’re destined for the dirt farm), and, most striking of all to me, dynamic motor mounts, which will lose their elasticity and become rigid under “sporting, race-like” styles of driving, while keeping the car from vibrating its occupants in normal traffic mode.

Remarkable.

Owning 911s with and without solid mounts, I can say that that’s yet another option that can actually make a real difference.

GT2 is the death car; the GT3 has a pretty smooth powerband from what I’ve heard. plus the 911 is much less of a deathmobile since the addition of the Weissach axle for the 993 generation.
