@Justin Berkowitz:

I know, I know, but it would be such a sleeper when the valet brought it up to the front of "da club". Then again, I'd be driving a Ferrari 400, what would I be doing at a club? ;-)

I'll step deeper in it - what sort of deal can I get on an Aston Martin Lagonda! That bad boy would kick those dime-a-dozen nouveau Bentley's to the curb (where my Staines spaceship would no doubt be parked with some electrical malfunct).

Wonder if any of this desire comes from my first car being a '79 Scirocco?

The Ferrari 400?! MY POOR EYES! I do like the 612 Scagletti, though the rest of the world seems to agree it looks awful.

Hi guys,

I kind of agree with the both of you on the Estoque, as good as it looks for a four door lamborghini, it doenst really fit in the lamboghini realm (want to take your kids, dont buy a Lamb). they had the Espada before, and when i met with Lamborghini execs some time back, they guaranteed that Lamborghini will not fall for the bait and re-produce something as horrid as the Espada was. they categorically specified that lamborghini will carry on with the two model invetory, plus special editions, superleggera's, and limited runs like the Reventon. and they were appahled when some of the people present asked if they will follow porsche into the SUV gig with an LM003-4 or whatever (perhaps called the Matador). Never!! was the answer.

so i wonder what went through their mind since march 08.

my opinon is that (MAMA) Audi is showcasing the Lambo Estoque to maximise exposure on the new A8 Chassis and it sporting attitude. they might not produce it just yet. but i rekon now that they have showed it, the demand will be too great for them to not produce it.

so in short, expect an Audi S8 way before the Estoque.

The Espada is one of my "when I (start playing so that someday I will) win the lottery" cars. Amazing. Was at the exotic car show at Art Center a few years back and some beautiful Espada's were there. Put the radio/tape deck to the left of the driver? Sure! Why not!

Then again, I'm also a fan of the Ferrari 400. Did I mention that I'm old?

Now I've seen more pictures of it, I think the Estoque looks awesome.

In person this is going to be infinity times more cool than the rapide and Panamera. I agree the Charger beltline and rear end are not the best parts, but I think that it will be better 'live'.

I like the interior too, hopefully it will be about the same for the production model.

Sure, the LP640 and Gallardo LP560-4 are even better, but they're 2 seater sports cars, so that's easy. For a sedan this is more than Lamborghini enough to carry the badge. Remember that aside from the Miura/Countach/Diablo (meh)/Murciélago they also made other cars that are now considered cool as well, like the Espada and LM002.

Looks like an Olds Alero with a body kit. I remeber the sensation the Lambo Marzal made, in 1966(?), which led to the production Espada. I'm getting old and crotchety.
