lutz-16.jpgThe nominations for the first annual Bob Lutz Award ("Lutzie") are closed, and boy do we have some doozies! We'll open the polls tomorrow morning for you to vote for the automotive executive who you think made the most outrageous, politically incorrect or just downright dumb statement. And to make it more interesting, not only will you get to vote for the person, but in the case of multiple nominations you'll also get to vote on what you think is the best (worst?) thing they said. The voting will run through 6PM EST Sunday, and we'll announce the winner Monday morning.

God that Caddy is like a mile long, that’s the first profile shot I have seen with a paerson to give it scale.

Does the winner of the Award get some kind of plaque or metal sent to them, you know something official.

  • you should run the voting a bit longer than until sunday. or are ttac readers so on-line that we’ll all be able to give it a shot in almost three days (including a weekend)?

Where do we go to see the lowlights? I mean, nominees’ “words of wisdom?” I mean, oh hell, you know what I mean. Where are they?

The best quote from each nominee will be on the ballot. I had planned to list all quotes on the ballot, but there were so many different quotes listed for one nominee that the ballot ran off the screen! (Need I say who it was?) I’ll list all of the nominated quotes in the award announcement write-up.

Or you can go back and read the comments on the original post if you want to run down them all.

In addition to voting for Mr. Lutz, I also suggest that the statue on top of the award be made in the shape of him sitting on that rock like the picture in the first editorial.

I think it should be a gold or silver painted(plated) bobble-head with Bob’s Ginormous head and evil grin. Standing on top of a Pontiac Aztek die-cast model.

I wonder if I could whip one of those up for TTAC.
