The Corvette is like an American institution? It’s a car, forgodsake. The Marines are an American institution. The Supreme Court. The Yankees. The New York Times (yes, the New York Times).
I could go on, but way more people would notice that Howard Stern had disappeared than if the Corvette did. Gearheads all seem to think that the rest of the world actually gives a scheiss whether a car has eight cyinders in a vee or two in a circle. They don’t.
Dammit, you had me looking for Avant Garde Gothic with this post! It’s my favorite font! Now my grandmother’s worried because I get up at 7:30 tomorrow.
Nevermind. Good job with this piece.
(P.S. it’s not as bad as it looks. It’s really only 12:50 right now where I’m at, not 2:50.)

BINGO!
.. on top row, including the northwest tile, after this week’s hearings?

“SAIC buys Buick, leases it back to GM”
That’s Brilliance (ho-ho) right there.

“Pay Us Now Or Toyota Gets The Corvette”
I hope that Speaker Pelosi really understands how the Corvette is like an American institution, but I’m not holding my breath…

Is there a spot on this board that says, “Win”?
-I can’t seem to find it.

What’s the prize if you get all 25?

I’d give you Howard Stern for half a ‘Vette. I don’t even like Vettes.
Prize for all 25? A Toyota Venza, of course.

Stephan Wilkinson :
The Yankees?
I bet about equal amounts of people in the country are passionate about Corvettes and Mustangs as that franchise.

Thank God that we finally have something to laugh about in this morass.
BTW gotta love that FUBAR in the middle! Paul Lynde would be proud.

…. OK … that’s a joke, right?

From my experience, the Yankees are more or less universally hated outside of New York.
Hmm… Replace New York with Midwest and you have the Detroit 3.
Go figure.

“Pay Us Now Or Toyota Gets The Corvette”
Aww, come on! I had to read this crowd-baiting click-magnet (and the associated frothing at the mouth) at Autoblog, do I have to read it here, too?
I have only the hope that TTAC posters will show some restraint on the topic. If I read one “OMGLoLz, Toy-yota will Vanilla teh Vette!” I’ll crack.
