What a gorgeous car! Wow! The Italians have that flair, and they’re not dusty engineers either. Look how Ducati and Aprilia have fared against the might of the Japanese bike industry.
Speaking of the Japanese, is there a car designer in that land who can give up studying silkworm pupae or malformed acorns, and actually style a car properly? Obviously not the Acura folks. A new RL lives down the street, and I’m just amazed at its terrible design, like a Darth Vadermobile or something. Very foreign to my eyes.
The Alfa, though, mmmmmmmm.

Apparently this amounts to heresy on any car site, but I have to say the 8C has never done anything for me - and that angle especially. Generally I’m a coupe-over-convertible kind of guy, but it’s the roofline especially that is problematic here - the Spider variant is far better looking IMHO, even if it’s a bit Stingray in its proportions and profile.

I have issues with that straight line coming off the front fender, looks out of place among the other (very sexy) curves. That and I find the Alfa grills ugly.

It’s a nice profile, but have you seen the rest of the carl? I mean…blech. The tail looks half-finished, and the nose looks like a catfish being stabbed to death with a sharp rock. The Italians make some attractive cars, but, to my eyes, this is not one of them.

I beg to differ. Look at just about any Ferrari (other than a few 250 and 275 models in the mid-60s) especially the more recent stuff for examples of overwrought.
Comparatively this thing is sex on wheels.

Beautiful car, but I have to wonder, how does that door/window setup work? The window comes further back than the doorframe. I’m guessing it’s a frameless window that somehow goes down and forward when it’s rolling down, but I’m not sure what would happen when you opened the door.
Has anyone seen this in the flesh that can comment?
