TTAC is Hiring: Will You Be America's Next Top Newsbot?

The current newsbot’s programming has gone awry and it now thinks it should work for someone else!

Sacrebleu! What should we do?

Find a new newsbot, of course.

Yes, that’s right. Aaron has decided to spread his wings. He’ll still be here for the next few weeks prior to his move to greener pastures, but he’ll be sorely missed after he logs off for the last time.

That means TTAC has an opening in its newsroom.

The news editor position is grueling, but rewarding. The hours can be long, but flexible. The work is hard, but opportunities are endless.

Ideally, we are looking for someone in Detroit, or close to it (that means even you Windsorites can get in on the action), but we’ll consider candidates from elsewhere. Top candidates will have previous background in news production and editing. The more years you have in the industry, the better your chances. Newbies will need to make up for their lack of experience with strong determination.

Interested? Want to apply? This is what we’re looking for from you.

– A resume/CV with all your work experience, education, etc.

– Samples or links to previous written work.

– A “cover letter” — which can be in the email body — of why you think you should be America’s Next Top Newsbot.

Send all the above to mstevenson@thetruthaboutcars.com. We will reach out to potential candidates over the next week or so.

So how many times per year would said Newsbot get to hang out with Jack and his Angels?

Nothing personal... but working for TTAC? This is a nice blog but not New York Times or BBC

D!ckish statement, slavuta - didn't expect that from you, brah. TTAC is still one of the best sites that doesn't kiss manufacturer a$$ and has industry insiders weighing in, and Mark, Aaron, both Baruths, Martin, Mental Ward, Lang, Alex (yeah, I rip on him often, but not in a mean-spirited way, and he's thorough), and the rest of the gang do a good job of presenting things on an efficient budget.

Why isn't Cameron being considered for the spot? She used to do it (pretty well, I think) and even has a driver's license now. She also has a pretty thick skin, given some of the Neanderthal comments that all too frequently come her way from the B&B hiding behind the anonymity of their computer keyboards.

And hear I thought Doug-bot was acting up... I've been requested to submit at least two different articles to TTAC by different authors, I never heard back about my submissions. Maybe I take too long to write my articles?

@Mark Stevenson Given your frequent article output, and welcome active participation in the comments, I should've figured you were quite busy! I'll keep re-tweaking the Z600 article when I get the chance, I'm hoping to have more pictures soon.
