Just When You Think McLaren's F1 Season Couldn't Possibly Be Any Dumber (Video)
They go and make a video like this and totally redeem themselves! (Not really.)
But the video above sure is entertaining. After rumors that Jenson Button would leave the team this year, the less-than dynamic duo of Button and Fernando Alonso appears to be back in 2016 to compete in GP2 Formula 1. The video has a story, apparently:
Join the mighty Turbo Heroes, McLaren-Honda’s Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, as they battle the evil racer Exhaustus in a thrilling journey across the globe in a tense battle to return mythical artefact the Jade Dragon of Suzuka to its spiritual home in Japan.
At least the company has some sense of humor about its terrible season. The 8-bit throwup seems fitting: The Honda powerplant has consistently kept the cars 30 years behind the current generation all season.

too late!
McLaren-Honda used to be the legendary combo that demoted the Ferrari F1 team a couple of times to 2nd place. No longer. I heard Eddie Jordan commenting on the dreadful results, that Honda no longer is the brand that takes pride in being or becoming #1. I feel sorry for Alonso that he changed teams now that Ferrari performs much better. Jenson Button is still a very competitive driver. He deserves better too. Red Bull and Toro Rosso will be looking for other engines too. I don't see Ferrari supplying them, particularly since it will be supplier to Haas' F1 team.
"to compete in GP2 Formula 1." The quote won't let me strikethrough, but I wanted to say that I laughed heartily when I got to that point.
"the less-than dynamic duo of Button and Fernando Alonso" Uh, no. It's all Honda's fault. Not even Superman could pedal that engine to winning form.
