Beijing 2014: Hyundai Ix25 Previews B-Segment Crossover

It’s only a matter of time before Hyundai officially enters the small crossover space with something below the Tucson. The ix25 concept is a good indication of what we should expect. Powered by a 2.0L GDI engine, the ix25 is a much better example of Hyundai’s new design language – it looks a bit dull on the new Sonata, but it really works on a two-box shape.

I'm sure as per the typical pricing scheme this will be about $5000 more than the Kia Soul/Hyundai Accent it's based on.

Yep, I see a Soul losing its decent roofline and gaining styling pretensions.

Make it luxurious and QUIET... and faster than the Encore. You'll eat the Buick's sales for lunch. No other luxury sub-CUV plays in that price range... Yet.

Agree, and this thing looks soo much better than the Encore and Trax.

I like it. Out of all the small crossovers this one shows the most potential

That square grille, bluff front, those rakish headlights -- Volvo attached an air compressor to that, blew it up by about fifty percent, and hey presto, XC90?
