Beijing 2014: Honda Concept B

This China-only concept, which previews a new small car that Honda will build just for that market, is the kind of product that Honda enthusiasts have been clamoring for.

The Concept B looks like Honda’s take on the Hyundai Veloster. No powertrain details were announced, but perhaps Honda will be kind enough to forgo the hybrid system that they saddled the CR-Z with – and bring it to North America as well.

"perhaps Honda will be kind enough to forgo the hybrid system that they saddled the CR-Z with" They could just, y'know, just build a CR-Z without the hybrid system... which would give it a usable back seat and twice the sprightliness in the twisty stuff. Interesting. Wonder if it'll be a lifestyle "four door coupe" or if this is meant as a preview for a cheaper Fit variant, to compete as Honda's new entry-level sedan.

"They could just, y’know, just build a CR-Z without the hybrid system… which would give it a usable back seat and twice the sprightliness in the twisty stuff. " That would be, well, the Fit. Or rather, the Fit with less headroom and two fewer doors.
