Volvo V60 Polestar To Bow In Chicago

I thought I preferred the subtlety of the brown XC70 Polestar I tested back in September. I was wrong. With 350 horsepower and all-wheel drive, this must be the most desirable wagon offered for sale on our shores, even without a manual transmission. Press days for the show run from Thursday, February 6th to Friday, February 7th. Check back at TTAC for more debuts.

I just hope they have the chassis sorted out better than they did on the last hot Volvos. Fast, but really unruly. That's the biggest problem with the Swedes historically, they never could get the ride/handling balance right the way the Germans (or Brits) could. And while this is cool, it is no E63 MB Wagon. THAT is the most desirable wagon of them all, IMHO. Though the CTS-V with manual tranny has to be a darned close second. The Benz is way better at being a wagon though - 7 seats!

@kosmo I was thinking closer to 65. You can do the regular version to 55k.

The V60 R-design now on dealer lots is 325hp, and this Polestar is 350 hp, is that correct? Is it badged as an R-design?

Interesting, a blog post about a coming blog post. This comment will get more substance in a later comment.
