Qatar Out At Porsche, Remains In At Volkswagen

Four years after buying 10 percent of Porsche, the Gulf state’s sovereign wealth fund Qatar Holding sold its share back to Porsche’s family shareholders, Reuters says.

Qatar kept its 17 percent stake in Volkswagen. Volkswagen owns all of Porsche’s car business.

    But, the Porsche holding company owns a significant amount of vw also. The good news is it looks like they are paying off all the debts they took on in attempt to buy vw. In practice they accomplished their goal, sort of.

      This article is exactly about the holding company. The Porsche/Piech family now owns 100% of the holding company again. The holding company owns nothing except for 50.7% of Volkswagen AG.
