If the road outside of your house gets a new layer of blacktop, and you forget to move your car before the work crews arrive, what would happen? In America, you’d probably have to look for your vehicle in to impound lot. In China, the car would still be there. But it would wear asphalt shoes.

As documented by Carnewschina, this Citroen Fukang has been immobilized when a road in the Dong Si Shi’er Hutong in Beijing was paved. As usual , Carnewschina provides historical background on the car, which started as a Citroen ZX before it was renamed Fukang at its 1994 debut in China.

The site also provides advice for the unlucky Fukang owner: “The vehicle can be freed but only with some very heavy equipment.” Like a jack and (oops) two spare tires.

In the meantime, the tarred car already received notoriety on Youtube, and China’s unblocked version, Youkou (above.)
