Iacocca’s legacy was tarnished after his attempted takeover of Chrysler with his pal Kekorian. His endorsement of Romney will further diminish his relevance as an industry icon especially since Romney was so wrong about the GM/Chrysler bailouts. Mitt’s boldface lies about Jeep production would probably even offend his father. Iacocca’s support for Romney is purely of a personal nature from his long association with George Romney. Wealthy, egomaniacs seem to get along very well together as long as they don’t work for the same company.
