About Those Annoying Ads Again

Two weeks ago, we had a rash of annoying ads. We are talking about autoplay video with autoplay audio. Not good. Especially in a work setting. Our technical crew worked quickly to have them turned off. And they did. Now we hear reports that they are back.

Ads are more and more served individually. They are no longer sent to TTAC and put on the website like in yesteryear. This makes them hard to monitor. This instance is especially annoying, because we can’t see them. They must be localized. Please help us out and report occurrences of auto play video ads. It is very hard to fight what we can’t see. We need your help. We want to kill those ads as fast as possible. Please help us track them down.

Please report:

Location, ISP, time, product advertised

Again, please report video ads with audio only. Those little silent flash movies don’t count. Thank you!

North Carolina. This page, 4pm EDT, Chrome on Windows XP, Airwick, I'm at work so don't know the ISP but I suspect it's AT&T. btw I learned years ago to keep the volume muted at all times when at work so I hadn't noticed this. I just unmuted to see if something was playing, and sure enough...

@Fred If they do, I would like to help them by suggesting they download ESET Nod32's free online scanner: www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ I've found it to rival many excellent paid-for virus/trojan horse software in detecting and eliminating trojan malware. Malwarebytes (free or paid version) is an indispensable, also. Avira (free or paid) does a good job (better than most others, IMO) in keeping the malware away.
