Would You Buy A Used Car From This Man? And How Much Would You Pay?

There’s a slightly used 1977 Peugeot 504 on the market, and the last bid stood at one million $.

One owner only: Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. His car was put on an international auction this Saturday, Iranian state media reported as per the Business Recorder. According to Iran’s official IRNA news agency, the bid came from an Arab country.

The car even has its own website. The proceeds of the auction will go to “a project to build 60,000 homes for the disabled and to needy women who are providing for their families.”

Even Muriel Martin gave the Persian Prez. the thumbs up: “Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has but one redeeming quality, and that’s his taste in daily drivers…” That plug probably drove the price up another $500K. The car would be LeMons worthy, but the price would get it disqualified.

Still, something doesn’t compute. A million dollars – to pay for 60,000 houses? That’s $16 per house. What will needy women get in Iran? A doghouse?

Wonder if the Peugeot's radio is tuned to the Iranian versions of Limbaugh, Hannity and Savage?

I wouldn't buy this Pug from this guy. As far as Iranian cars, I want the 1979 Cadillac Iran. It's a Seville manufactured in Iran with a much more powerful version of the Olds 350 Engine. The Shah was a big believer in the first-gen Seville and loved it so much he built a factory.
