How spurious is this one? Let me count the ways. First of all, it’s an Auto Express illustration, which makes it pretty spurious to begin with. Second, it’s of a possible (and unrumored) CUV designed on the Volt Chassis. and Third, it’s based on the Opel/Vauxhall version of the Volt, the Ampera…. and there’s no guarantee that GM will share the Volt platform with its independence-craving European division. Still, it’s worth a shared giggle between consenting adults.

Yes Spawn of Aztec would be a feaking awesome name for a band. That actually kind of looks like a Kuga with an Opel badge.
Those two longitudinal roof rack devices do not count towards the presence of tail fins. The masses clamor for tail fins. And perhaps some holes in the aft front fender area. And Dagwoods upon the front bumper.
Finally, GM has an answer for the Dodge Caliber!
Why is everyone knocking a third party rendering of a vehicle that doesn't exist yet? This isn't news other than to say there might be a CUV that uses the volt powertrain.
